Last December we proudly announced our new partnership with Ecclesiastical, part of the Benefact Group. Since then we’ve gone from strength to strength in our collaboration, hosting a number of webinars to provide risk management guidance, and even meet councils at in-person events.
The partnership has been a valuable opportunity to share knowledge between our teams so that we can better support local and parish councils and their communities. Here’s what the teams had to say:
“As we mark the one-year anniversary of partnering with Ecclesiastical, our team are pleased to reflect on the strength and significance of this continued relationship. Ecclesiastical’s values are a great fit with our own, and their people have been instrumental in our goals to better support local and parish councils. Whether we’re attending in-person events or sharing guidance in one of our collaborative webinars, the teams have come together time and again to deliver certainty and protection, so that our clients can operate in peace.
The Clear Councils and Ecclesiastical partnership has not only enhanced the service we provide today, but laid a strong foundation for the future. As town and parish councils continue to navigate evolving challenges, we too will continue to adapt. We look forward to building on this collaboration further, utilising our knowledge and drive to help safeguard councils and their communities.”
- Lee Cleaver Cert CII, Account Executive, Clear Councils.
“Ecclesiastical saw this partnership as a valuable return to the Local Council sector, strengthened by Clear’s proven expertise and shared commitment to community‑focused customers. It also deepened an already successful strategic relationship, building on existing schemes and reinforcing confidence in Clear’s delegated authority capabilities. Most importantly, the scheme supports Ecclesiastical’s growth ambitions while aligning with its purpose‑driven ethos, particularly through work with councils and charities that reflect its values.
The first year has already delivered standout moments, from Clear’s impressive council retention rates to meaningful engagement with end‑customers through conferences and risk‑management webinars shaped by Local Clerks’ requests. Looking ahead, Ecclesiastical is focused on building momentum, reaching new councils, and showcasing the strength of the joint proposition. Overall, the partnership offers a strong foundation to celebrate early success and encourage more councils to place their trust in this collaborative approach.”
- Simon McGill, UK Schemes and MGA Development Manager, Ecclesiastical UK.
On behalf of Clear Councils and Ecclesiastical, we’d like to thank you for your continued support, and look forward to strengthening our relationship further in 2026.
