BHIB Councils Insurance Sponsors the Leicester and Rutland Association of Local Councils AGM 2019

BHIB Councils Insurance were the principal sponsors of the Leicestershire and Rutland Association of Local Councils (LRALC) AGM.
The day started with a morning of AGM business which flowed into an afternoon of plenary sessions. Michelle South, Schemes Director, gave a short presentation introducing BHIB Councils Insurance and our partnership with the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) as well as our work with LRALC. Brian Brookes, Risk Manager, spoke about our invaluable risk management support services including training courses with LRALC and how we can help with support and advice in the event of a claim against a Parish or Town Council.

The event finished with updates from LRALC on key issues and topics currently faced by Councils in the area with a guest speaker presentation from Charlotte Eisenhart, Head of Member Services at NALC, to talk about the ‘national picture’.

Michelle South, Schemes Director of BHIB Councils Insurance, commented on the day:
“BHIB Councils Insurance had a fantastic day on Saturday at the LRALC AGM. We received such a warm welcome from LRALC representatives and delegates alike. The opportunity to introduce ourselves and the work we do with councils in providing insurance and risk management support was invaluable. We look forward to continuing to work in partnerships with LRALC and develop relationships with their member councils.”
